Grant Guidelines
Grant applications are accepted through an invitation only process. Organizations must be proposed by either a Morgan Creek Capital Management, LLC employee or a board member and will be reviewed by the foundation’s Grant Committee to ensure the proposed organization aligns with our mission. The organization will then be contacted by the foundation to complete an application.
Only organizations with current tax-exempt status under the Internal Revenue Service Code section 501(c) 3 are eligible for funding.
Organizations receiving support from the Foundation may only use the funds for operating purposes in providing services. Funds may not be used for capital expenditures or financing purposes unless specifically requested in their grant request and approved by the Foundation.
The Foundation may provide funds to religious affiliated organizations but they must include participants without regard to religious background and beliefs.
Programs in the visual or performing arts must simultaneously have a strong academic component. The Foundation considers programs emphasizing athletics as outside its mission.
Funding is not available for organizations that discriminate against a person or group on the basis of age, political affiliation, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation or religious belief.
